New Member with '69 Fury III have a quick question
I am now the proud owner of a 1969 Fury III 4 door. I know 4 doors are not as cool as 2 doors, but I could afford this one Anyway....as you may be able to tell from the pics....someone did a little "custom" work to it. That brings me to my question. I want to go back to the original rim/tire size and was wondering what the stock tire size was...so I can purchase some new rubber for it. I know that the rims are 15"....I got the originals with the car as well. My overall goal with it is to bring it back to near stock config (color and all). I'm not one for big 20" spoke rims and side pipes. Granted the pipes sounded cool and all. My first "old" car in 10-15 years and I want to do it right

Welcome!
Don't let anyone tell you different, 4 dors are just as cool at 2drs.
I'm not a big fan of hte wheels and side pipes either. While I don't know the stock tire size, there should be a sticker in the driver's door jam area that says assuming it hasn't been scraped away. Otherwise, I'm sure there are a few around here that can help you out with it.

I think that the stock tire size for that car would have been a 7.75/15 or an 8.25/15.
Which translates to a P215/75/15 or a P225/75/15 in today's sizes....
Have fun with your 4 door! I have never bought a 4 door and found my '68....
She's been a lot of fun!!

Thank you so much for the help. I got a few quick drives in....and love it more and more each time I drive it. Almost going to hate bringing it into the garage and start tearing it down....then it won't be drivable for a while Did find a few issues with it while driving....the gas and temp gauges don't work, and all the lights pulse when the engine is running. I tried changing the voltage regulator with a used one that came with the car....but now the gas gauge goes to full when the engine runs....and half when its not. Temp gauge is still a no go. So got some investigating to do.....

Do yourself a favor....get the FSM for your vehicle. Among other things it has wiring diagrams for the systems in your Plymouth. I would not try to troubleshoot any electrical issues without one of these books. Got one for my 70' C body, it is the bible for Chrysler cars.
