Exclamation OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION

I just took my 68 Fury to its first out of town show and its very first trip on the freeway.
Now, I know I'm used to driving stuff with o/d trannies but it seems that the old Plymouth is haivng to rev a little too much to get to the 60 mph mark.
Is there a MoPar 4spd o/d transmission that will swap into my Fury and replace the T/F behind the existing 318 ..............and what vehicle(s) should I be on the look out for as donors to get the easiest fit??

Cheers.
Terry.

I haven't put a tach on the car to be honest but I'd have to guess I'm in the 3500 range.
3500 doesn't sound like a lot but when my Mustang turns about 1900-2100 at 55-60mph, it sounds like the Fury needs TWO more gears.
The rear is the stocker which I'm guessing will be in the 3.23 range.
Bearing in mind I have a much taller tire with my 20 inch rims which replaced the stock 14 inchers, I was expecting a few less revs and an overdrive effect from this alone as the tires are about 3 inches taller.
I'm not sure I wanna be changing rearend gears since it's not as easy as doing those in the 9-inch on my racecar and I don't wanna get into a rebuild on my 40 year old rear axle.
I'll check out that swap link though............

id say 3500 with that tall of tire is a bit lower that 3.23.. just a guess.. if your rear is a 8-3/4 its just as easy as a ford 9 inch.. both my 66 sport furys had 2.73s (open)in them. they both were the wide (A) 318. i switched it out to a 440/727 with 3.94 rear and im pushing 3600 @ 60mph but with 225/60/15........but i do know what you are saying my 05 dakota is around 1600 at 60.. with the factory 17 inch tire
