1973 Challenger 440

Just bought a 73 Challenger with a 440 and auto trans. Can anyone tell me what this car should weigh? Is it cheaper to get seat covers made by an upholstery shop, or order from a catologue? Thanks for looking. Rob

Call around to some local interior shops and get some prices. Most of the time it's cheaper to buy from a company that already produces them though.

I beleive this car is a Rally model, what does it have the standard Challenger doesn't? I know the motor isn't original, was the 440 still available in 73?

Ralley had the performance hood,Side lazer stipes exhaust cutouts if 340 equiped and ralley dash. I have never seen one without ralley wheels so that might be part of the package as well.

In 1973 only the 318 and the 340 were available. Check your VIN.
js23 is the rallye
jh23 is the standard edition

the 5th number is the engine: g=318 h=340
