71 cuda window

Driving around the other day and got home went to roll up driver side window and it will only move about one inch. I removed door panel and can’t notice anything off track. I’m stumped, anyone have any ideas? Worked fine for years!!

Probably worn enough that the teeth are climbing each other and binding.

That or one of the rivets fell out of one of the window tracks and is jamming it?

Try white grease on slides and crank/gear assembly.

Found window problem on 71 Cuda. The lower 7/16 bolt on the front up and down track backed out about 1/4 inch and was stopping the nylon slide from going up. It’s really hidden down in there so it was tough to see. This is about an 7 year old restoration and I can’t say it enough for all of you check every nut and bolt on these old beauties every now and then because they like to rattle loose. Thanks for all your suggestions.

I'm also having trouble with my 71 Cuda side window. Took the door panel off, and found a couple of plastic rollers and other odd bits in the bottom of the door. I ordered a new roller set, but do not have a diagram showing where all the pieces go. Anyone out there have such a diagram or instructions? Thanks!

If all else fails, you can look at the other window and see where the parts should fit.

I haven't been inside a Cuda door for over thirty years but I believe they go on the ends of the lift arms inside the long flat guide that goes on the glass.
