Looking at a 73 challenger or cuda

I am looking at one of two cars to purchase. One is a 1973 challenger and one is a 1973 cuda. Both have standard 340 engines and rallye hoods. The question I have is, is it possible to get shaker hoods ordered for these cars? Other than the hoods, is there any other adjustments that would have to be made for the cars? Also, I would like to save up for an engine upgrade to a 440 magnum. They both have automatic transmissions. What would the cost be to upgrade the engines in these cars? Should I get the engine first or the shaker hood? I guess what i'm trying to ask is if i change the engine on a car, do I have to change the shaker hood?

Welcome! I'm not sure about the shaker hoods, but I dunno if I'd slap a big block in an original 340 car... I'm no purist but hoooo, that's stretching things.

Look here for a Fiberglass hood if you need one...
