WILL A 70 CHALLENGER HOOD FIT ON A 73 CHALLENGER?

Hey guys its been a while since I have gotten on here, been a little busy lately. But need to know something I have been looking for a rally/r/t hood for my 73 challenger, it just has the plain flat hood on it now, but I found a guy that has one but it come off of a 70. Will it fit up without any problems? I remember a while back I was considering changing out the grill to the 70 grill but someone mentioned there is a some fab work you have to do to get the fenders to match up to it. That brought up the question of how the hood will fit up to it? and will the trim piece on the front of the hood of my 73 fit on the 70 hood without any problems? thanks guys

My 73 had the cats-eye factory hood.

According to Year One, the repro steel Shaker hoods fit 70-74.

According to Paddock Parts, the Chall RT/Rallye hood fits 70-74.

So yeah, looks good.

I understand where you guys are coming from but, I put a question on yahoo answers and pretty much everyone on there is saying it wont fit unless I change the fenders..But I'm going to wait for a real chally nut on here gets this before I get to far ahead of myself. I mean those hoods are friggin expensive.. Although I may have a deal with this guy to buy it for 250. Which thats still alot of bucks but its better than 500 or more from ebay!

The hood should bolt right up, the fenders require more that just bolting on.

For what it's worth, ny neighbor put one from a '72 on his '70 ( see Mopar **** post for pictures ). Don't think he had any problems. Know that's still a year off from yours though.
