'68 Dodge P-300, anyone have info?

Greetings all, I just made the purchase of a lifetime. the ugliest vehicle I've ever seen, but i love it. I was wondering if you guys had any service info or any background on it. it has a 225 six, dana spicer rear (dually too) and a 4 speed, unknown make. the only thing i need parts wise at the moment is a very rare six lug rim. anyone with history on these, please, chime in. thanks guys.

Oh come on, even a mother can love an ugly baby.

From my Motors Truck Manual.

8.4 compression (145psi) 140 hp at 3900, 215 tq at 1600.

Plug N11Y or N6 for 225-2. Point gap .020, dwell 40-45, timing 0 or 5 BTDC. Fuel press. 3.5-5.

Caster (no load) 1.5, camber 2, toe-in 0-.125, king pin incline 7 degrees.

Valve lash Int .012H exh .024H

Big guess on transmission, New Process 420 or 435.

thank you, the trans code is the NP 435. i got her to turn over, but it's been sitting for a while. needs a brake overhaul, which isn't terrible. trans still moves between gears, clutch still actuates, and the starter sounds healthy. no knocking yet, i havent given it fuel either. but the radiator still has coolant, and it's still green. all in all its worth what i paid. it also has the old UPS logos on the inside. it's a cool old piece of history, and i'm glad to have another mopar to work on.

if its been setting a while. pull the spark plugs and put 2-3 oz of marvel mystery oil in each cyl. and turn it over before you put the plugs back in. and use some air in fuel tank carefully , slowly, to get fuel in the carb. and when it starts take the RPM a little higher than idle. to get oil on the cam.

Any pics of it?

The rear axle is probably a dana 60. The NP435 tranny is one of two versions (either with a 6.68 or 4.56 - you'll know when you drive it).

it's gotta be the 6.68, that thing crawled with rpm, which is nice, i plan to use it as a heavy hauler, within reason. i got it running, i drained the old gas out, put fresh gas in, and spun it until it picked up fuel. by then it got oil to the top end, and i made sure to give it rpm for the cam, again, within reason. i have to find a rim though. it's a six lug, but the hole spread is in the 8 inch spread realm. i've never seen one like that.
