'56 Custom Royale
I inheirited an old 1956 Dodge Custom Royale. It's still looks pretty good and the body is real sound and the interior is surprisingly nice! It sure looks like it has the original factory paint and there are no big holes and all the chrome trim is there and pretty shiny. There's a litte bit of rust showing around the trunk area and a couple spots by the windshield on the driver's side. I want to get it running again. Has not run in about 5 years. I know next to nothing about, but have a serial number from the door panel. I guess these were pre-VIN days! Is there a place I can compare that number and find out a little more about the car?
Thanks!
Bob
PS I've had a couple offers for around $2000 for the car, but I think I'd rather have the car as I was born in 1956! I'd rather have the old car than the $2000...at least for now.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that someone here can help you with decoding the number that you have. If not, then we should be able to at least point you in the right direction.
