Just joined, have "?" regarding 1941 Chrysler Royal
Good evening! I've got a '41 Chrysler Royal business man's coupe with Fluid Drive and tonight something happened that has me scratchin' my head - thought the good people here might have an answer.
In short, I lost reverse gear - can't get the column shift up into it's rightful spot. As this car also has their "FLUID DRIVE" functionality, can somebody give me any info on what can be done (or any special tricks to use) to try and get it back?
Any all info greatly appreciated!

I agree with Bob, you have to determine whether the linkage is the problem or it is in the transmission.
Good luck, and welcome to the site.

Thanks, guys - going to screw around with the car tomorrow - I, too, now think it may be more of a linkage issue than anything else.
Will keep you posted on the outcome - and thx for the good wishes!

Thanks for the info - am trying to attach some "snaps" of the car - and not being too successful.
I should have mentioned that when it comes to computers et al, I am a bit of a Luddite.....
