When I was 13-14, my dad brought home a 1947 Desoto Taxi. I fiddled around with it and got it running. Had great fun, jumping knolls, doing slides and sharp turns until I rolled it. Dad came home and got his torch and cut the axles out of it. I was totally destroyed about "my" car. I removed the two jump seats out and a few other things. Everything else is gone, but I still have those jump seats and great memories of "my Desoto" I know that this does not help you in your quest, but I do wish you the best restoration travels and enjoyment I know that a "Desoto" can give..as that was 61 years ago. I have quite a bit of information. Dad worked with Chrysler-53Yrs
