I would replace the gyro-matic transmission in my 1950 Dodge Diplomat with a standard 3 speed. What will be the problems that I will have.
Will linkage be a problem

 

Biggest challenge will be coming up with all the parts for the change over.

 

My thoughts are I will have to come up with the column, linkage and transmission.
I will be keeping the fluid drive

 

You never know whats going to pop up.... But that all sounds about rite on what your looking for... Might keep an eye open over at Hemmings Motor news and see if some of that stuff pops up for sale for the conversion.....
