85 D150 A/C question

85 D150 A/C question

I am trying to get the a/c compressor to come on but i get nothing. How can i tell is the clutch is bad or even getting a signal to come on. All the fuses are good what should i check next.

I think you can "hot wire" it with a jumper wire. If it kicks on, you will see the center of the pulley start to spin with the outer part. If this happens, your clutch is maybe OK.

check the a/c switch if tends to stick on my truck, you can see it next to the dryer it’s a black plastic box with a connector coming of it, just tap it a couple of times and if you have enough Freon the compressor will come on.
