I have several dodge ram 2wd trucks available to me (1984,88,90) (1500), but thats the problem, they're all 2wd
(all good frames, motors/drivetrain, and body)

Can i simply get the parts needed (i.e. front 4x4 axel, transfer case and linkage and the corresponding driveshafts, along with slight modification to the cab and springs) and bolt them on the frame, or is the frame for the 2wd models different from that of the 4?
