Angry Twin Turbo Hurrican Engine

I have a 2025 Ram 1500 with the 3.0 Twin Turbo Hurricane engine. Has anyone else been getting ripped off with their Highway MPG rating? My window sticker states I should get 24 MPG on the highway. Well the truck has 12000 miles on it and it's been to Texas and back from PA and all the way across the state of PA. I'm lucky if I see 19 MPG on a good day. I'm really pissed at this point. I traded in my 2016 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 L Hemi. I could get 23MPG on the highway every day. I'd love to hear from anyone else before I escalate this to Chrysler. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks, MAC

Do you have things like oversized tires or toolboxes with tools, aftermarket running boards etc.. Tires alone can make your odometer incorrect and the tires can cause more parasitic loss of fuel mileage.
One thing that most people don’t understand is that those mpg figures that the auto makers use are done on a chassis dyno not on a real world driving condition. So there’s no wind resistance figured in, personally I think 19 mpg for a full size pickup isn’t too bad!

My truck is factory configuration. Nothing aftermarket. I do not carry anything in the bed. plus it has a tono (SP) cover over the bed. Standard all season tires.

It is pretty crazy that that a v8 gets better gas mileage than a v6. The v6 does have more torque and HP. We are in the same boat with a 2016 Ram with the 5.7. We use it a lot for long road trips and the great gas mileage is a huge plus. The 6.4L hemi I believe gets a little less gas mileage than the 5.7L, supposedly less than the Hurricane plus requires 91 octane fuel.

My Tungsten gets 20 MPH on the highway if using the trip odometer on a long trip. For example, I just ran from PA to Florida and got 20 MPH exactly on the highway. I usually average 17 mpg. Best milage is in 2 wheel drive mode, Aero mode with air suspension, using 91 octane gas and long durations of cruise control keeping it under 80 mph. They become gas guzzlers when the turbos kick in so a lot of the milage is dictated by the owners driving habits. I love mine at 540 HP, but I rarely drive it hard. But the power is there if I need it to avert an accident.

Plenty of power. Everybody was yelling for the 5.7 hemi to come back but I swear this engine crushes it.

Saw a video comparing the 2 engines. Since they brought back the Hemi they added a new exhaust that sounds great.
