I'm not sure if the bell housing is the same between the 318/360 and V10 motors. If I remember correctly, I think the V10 motors used a different tranny than the 3/4 ton V8 trucks. You will need to look into that. If they are the same, you will want to build the tranny that you currently have in the truck as it will not last long with the power of a V10.

I have yet to see someone carb one of these motors. I don't see why you would want to though.

I have heard of a local guy installing larger injecter and adding a programer to his V10 but that was some time ago. I'm sure that you could piece together a turbo kit for this motor as long as it was built to handle the pressure. There are cams, rockers and pistons for these motors out there, you just need to do some digging.

It would be a project............

Tranny is diff, mounts are diff, front springs are diff, fuel pump is diff, I built a whipple charger V10 2x dually single cab.....

hehehehehe

Stroke a 360, easier to do.

Oh, the carb, be kinda hard with no distributer.

they share rods amd bolt up to the same transmission. the number 2 or 7 cylinder heads had eye brows in some of them would cause a cylinder to be lean and burn the piston some were replaced with new eng from mound road engine plant untill the internal specs changed with a new model year i dont remenber where we placed the new serial numbers but they were hand set on the block under the front deck surface or on the tabs aty the back of thew block it had to be where it could be read when installed these remans had to go out within factorysp[ec and had to runfor 2 hours at rated or remaned exceeded all factory values do turn your back on the feul injection the ge t more hp out of a 3 liter 6 than my 1969 4bbl 318

A well tuned FI will outperform a well tuned carb any day of the week. That is the way to go IMHO...
