Dodge Dakota Engine Swap

Hey guys n Gals. I Currently own a 1999 Dakota SLT 4x4 with a 5.2L that's a low Mileage but rough around the edges truck. I am Looking at 2000 Dakota SLT 4x4 that seems really clean body. No Drivetrain. i'm presuming it's a 4.7L...Just wondering wats involved in putting my 5.2L in a 4.7L Dakota.Any help greatly appreciated

i have done a few swaps. IF the engine you want to use was in that frame by the factory, all you need is ALL the parts the factory used. if not that doesnt mean that factory parts wont work. like an oil pan, it has to fit the frame AND the engine. ill bet you cant think of a swap that hasnt been done. in 1969 my dad and i put a chrysler 392 hemi in a 1959 ply wagon. the oil pan and ext pipes was hard things.

With every thing being computer controlled these days it presents additional problem.
I have not done the swap. I would think you would need to swap the motor, trans ? and the computers
