Drag Pak at Chassis Shop

Finally delivered my Drag Pak Challenger to the chassis shop in Winter Garden Florida... The shop is Takash Race Craft and its a VERY well know shop here in the SE and hopefully to be know nationwide soon.. Tim Takash is a MASTER when it comes to welding and also thinking outside the box in getting it done... Expect to see some things different from him.... He is an artist at work and will keep pictures posted as we go along.... We have several items in mind to make this car unique and different from any other Drag Pak car.... Can't tell them yet but in time....

Also recieved the freshly coated headers on Saturday of last week.. Nitro Plate in Nashville Tenn did them and they are spectacular... Will attach a picture ASAP......

I may have the best chassis guy in the world but he gets another award for being the slowest!!!!!! Originial completion date is 4-1-10. Doubt like HELL he is going to make it... I'm planning to stop by tomorrow and see where he is at.... Not going to blow up until he doesn't make it... Then it ON!!!!!!!!

Well, he didn't make the deadline but I was expecting this... We set a new deadline and if this one isn't met I deduct $200 per day from the balance of the bill... This should work.....

Shots of where we are today.....

Strange housing, Mark Williams M-300 gun drilled axels, alm spool , and Richmond 488 Pro lightened gears. This combo is supposed to be only 10 lbs heavier in rotating weight than the 8 3/4... Photo of housing below..

These remind you of anything? (they will cert to 7.5)
The stock eliminator rules prevent the bars from coming thru the firewall. They can be attached to but not thru the firewall.... Will get a picture and post... Yes I have the swingout bars on both sides and yes they will certify to 8.50... But probably will never need it.... Don't expect this car to run that fast... Especially in stock eliminator.

Will the bars with those pivot tabs welded to the cage, instead of lugs coming out of bar stubs, certify?

They made me change, so I just went to a countoured door bar.

Yes the tabs welded to the bars will certify to 8.50... That's fast enought for this car!!!

Mopar style ends and installing Mark Williams D-300 axels and MW dual disks. Alco shocks and springs all around.... This combo seem to be working very well!!!!
