Drag Pak at Paint

Finally got the chassis work done and we are now at paint!!!!! Really don't see that much difference in the car but the chassis work is done.... Car is still on the spit and will be for some time more.... Matter of fact they are still removing parts and pieces.... But when its done it will look like it came painted this way from Mopar......

Painter tells me 6 to 8 weeks.... Sounds pretty long for that paint job but, I'm no painter.... No body work to do just sand primer and shoot and that is much simpler than it really is I'm sure!!!!!! Anyway for now 6 to 8 weeks......

Yes, we are restricted by the Stock rules to what we can do and its very little... Can't bore, stroke or change the lift in the cam... Can change the duration... Have to use an approved piston, rod and pin. The items must be approved and the Bobber weight is restricted to what came in the car.. Heads can't be touched.... I'm wanting to replace the cheap rods Ma Mopar put in them... Along with the valve springs, and get this thing to turn around 8,000 RPM..... So we do have it apart ands are checking all our options on rods and a cam......

I notice on your chassis that they are using the large hole with a cover (plastic) above the fuel tank, like our avengers. Will you be using a stock style tank, or fuel cell? Wish they would have done that 20 years ago for the in-tank pumps!

NO WHITE LEFT

Stopped by the painter this afternoon... He was paint the orange fade while I was there... They will put the purple on tomorrow... All the whits is GONE!!!!!!!! Please excuse the poor quality of the photos... They were taken thru a window in his paint booth on my cell phone... Considering all that not bad... Better ones tomorrow.....

You know I never much cared for the ram logo on the front of all dodges, but I must say the hood looks sick! You should put a rams scull on the front, If you are running nitrous you can purge out of the nostrils, it would look wicked. Ive been wanting to do the same thing to the buffalo scull on my F-150.

You can forget ever racing this car. This is looking like a "world of wheels" custom show car. This is the nicest race car paint I think I have ever seen! I'd love to see it in person when it is done. You are doing an outstanding job, thanks for sharing so much.
