Exclamation Ring&Pinion for 2006 Grand Cherokee

Hi
I have a Jeep 2006 Grand Cherokee limited 4.7

(because I hear a noise while I'm driving over 60 mi and It disappears when I remove my foot from the gas panel) I changed the rear Gear Kit Ring and Pinion, but I've been told that I need to change the front one because the noise still there.

My Question is: what is the full part name to order online?is it Dana 30?what ratio ? is it 4.1.1 or 3.73?how many teeth?

others told me it could be from case differential? but I could not found the right one (full name with details) \
here in my country in the dealership would cost me the case Differential $1,600??? and for the Gear Kit Ring&Pinion $870?

I found cheaper online but I couldn't get the right online store?would you recommend one?

Thanks Bader

Jeeps came with different gear ratios depending on the sub-model and option packages. There are a few different ways to tell. There should be a steel tag on the diff cover indicating the actual gear ratio or you can bring your VIN to a dealership and have them print you out a vehicle infomation sheet. On that sheet, it should tell you what you actually have for a gear ratio.

That year jeep I believe has an independent front suspension so I am unsure about what axle they used.

Usually the gear ratio is listed on the labels under the hood. Usually a 4X you get lots of tire noise at speeds. Have you checked to see how much back lash the gears have ?
