I am searching for a passenger front fender (update: reworking the one I have) and patch panel for passenger rear quarter behind wheel and below spear (update: found one from Layson).

Nice piece. Not much tweeking needed to make it perfect!

 

The latest attempt...

I think I will use this one. It is very large. M<ount brackets are in the right location, core fits the opening quite well. I will have to use a thinner fan spacer to use the stock fan. Definately not enough room for an electric fan. It will do until I find a correct original radiator.

Your doing a great job on the cuda,and i see what you mean about having your share of projects been there myself never seemed to get anything done so in my older age i only do one at a time,that way i have one to drive while the other is being worked on.

Metal work is the most difficult for me as I am still learning (tough to do at my age). And I hate bondo!

 

I hate bondo also but i ain't afraid to use it if need be [not 5 gallons in each quarter like back in high school]. For what i own/build it ain't worth weeks of man hours to make the metal perfectly origanal get it real close and skim it, we drive ours like we stole them so high dollar is out of the question. The charger is going to be a tire frying/track car according to my son [told him it was too heavy to use for road courses] it ain't gonna be no trophy winner just an acceptable looking toy to have fun with and go to cruise ins with me. I would not even attempt to restore a low production valued car/truck i would sell it or have some one restore it for me. I ain't the type of person whom should have a super nice car/truck [not that i would not take care of it, just ain't in the cards for me] not old enough or have enough money or a good place to store something like that. I build the workin mans cars little money lots of blood,sweat equety,engineerin so i can stand back and say i built that and it looks purty good. Best trophy i get is when some one says [nice car you build it your self? it looks awsome] i get a great feelin inside that i did some thing not many can do that wern't trained or do it for a livin.

 

i welded 2 1/2 x 2 straps verticaly on each side of the radiator cut the opening to the straps the used a b cool aluminum radiator with dual fans the gives you the room to use 2 fans the water pump pulley then fits between the fans. i am running a 408 stroker w a/c email me if u want pictsif u want picts or aug 2011 mopar action page 18 picts

 

I've got a 65 barracuda, /6, auto on the floor, red/red. I'm the 2nd owner. The first was an army chaplain, bought new in Alaska while he was in the army, then used as the family car here in the states. Has 80,000 miles on it, all original. Needs restoration though. Motor and tranny rebuilt buy race engine builder, stock, not modified, so rebuilt well. It was in a car magazine in the 80's.

I've got a 66 cuda /6 too. I had another 66, 273 4-speed, but someone stole it last year. I'm also buying another 67 67, 273 auto barracuda from a friend. Ive got a 74 scout, 76 triumph spitfire, 49 chevy styline deluxe sport coupe, and then there's my bikes, and a 1961 crestliner
Boat. Like I said before, I've got a 66 survivor coronet 440, 4-door, /6 auto, that I've given to my youngest daughter, (14 yrs old), as her first car, so it's still mine for now. It was a one owner car, 80 something thousand miles on it. Bought it from a little old church lady. Clean as hell, and completely stock.

There's something funny about those two sentences but I can't put my finger on it.

 

It's true ! I would've been reluctant to believe that too, but she bought it new, and parked under her carport it's whole life. She worked in the church's office. Between the church, and groceries, that's about it using that car. Ashtray was never used either. I know, the type of old car that everyone wants to run into, right !? I wouldn't have bought it because it was a 4-door, but for 1500, I thought it was a good investment about 10 years ago. Did I mention it's a /6, and white, with blue interior, auto on the column, bench seat, am radio ? Even sounds like the perfect church lady car, huh ?? Totally not a car I would drive with too much pride, but a great one for a daughters first car, right !?
At the time, I thought, she could've just been a nun, because she never married, never had kids, lived alone in her little white house, and the church was her life, and lived here in a small town in missouri her whole life. Nothing more, that was her life since she was old enough to move out on her own. Talked to her almost half a day, before I bought the car, to be nice, and secretly verify her life story. One of my majors in college was psychology, so I tend to listen closely to people, and strategically ask questions, and watch for slight physical telltale gestures without their knowledge of doing it. I'm kind of a living lie detector, and my kids hate it, lol !
