was lookin for a thread like this.. i'm plannin on doin a 340/416 stroker here really soon. lots a good info on here! i'm gonna deal thru hughes i'm thinkin and maybe a set heads from indy or edle brock..

 

if my 83 D 250 pops its 318 before it rots to the ground I may build the 318 into a 390 for towing/hauling torque.
being it has a 727 with no OD I am thinking of swapping rear gears from the current 3.55s to 3.21s. (I'd possibly go 2.94 if they built that ratio for the Dana 60) especially if I put a stroker in there.
