Changes rumored for the 2010 NHRA national event schedule
The Agent had a note in the mayo jar this morning that said look for some drastic changes in the schedule for the 2010 NHRA national event schedule.
The Agent has already been told that zMAX Dragway in Charlotte will get a second race and that Virginia Motorsports Park will lose its date. Nothing official has been released regarding a second date at Charlotte or that VMP is dropped, but the rumor keeps circulating. Agent 1320 also hears that the NHRA may adjust the schedule so that the tour makes two “Western Swings.”
The RUMORED schedule would have the teams start at Pomona, followed by Phoenix, Vegas and Houston, then on to Gainesville. Don’t buy your tickets yet. This is just a rumor so far.

Its Official
Z-Max Raceway in Concord NC has gotten a second date for 2010. NHRA announced its 2010 schedule yesterday and Z-Max has a second date and Virginia Motorsports Park has lost its date. The "western Swing" was also modified. It now starts in Seattle, then to Sonoma and then ends at Denver... Full schedule is on NHRA.com.......

Va Motorsports Park
They gave no reason on NHRA.Com but another site said not enough butts in seats.... But look at some of the other locations also... Some have never sold out.. But Concord NC is not that far from VMP and Concord sold out last year.. Granted it was their first year and time will tell if they have enough "Straight liners" to sell out twice.... Of course you know who owns Z-Max don't you ??? Bruton Smith... He also owns Las Vegas, Bristol, Texas and now Concord... He what you call a Big Player in this sport as well as NASCAR......
