Bought speedway car last night

Its a toyoya Celica with a 265 Hemi 6 cyl, set up for oval dirt track. I'll put some pic's up when i can. We're in the same class as the big boys with their V8's & the car was running mid field with stock 265 & 500 holley, extractors. Ofcourse i'll porting it, big cam, 4 barrel manifold & 650 holley running on methanol, at the end of the day it should be a goer. Anyway guys have to run, see ya's later, cheers big ears!!! oi oi oi.

ok i seen the car last night it's ruff & ready . it starts good & ready to race sort of . it's got a 350 holley , 3 speed manual box , real weak gm banjo diff welded up . even with stock motor it has no traction at all . so thats where we'll start traction . happy days . it's in outlaw sedan class . ok folks scratch yas .

shes a budget screamer

ok the latest .
me & me m8 have bought some 29x11x15 tyres now ( nice & soft ) we now have 5 motors . we pulled em all down & have picked a 265 hemi out of a aussie charger , all std bearings & std bore very very rare ( just this block alone could be worth heaps ) . i ported the hell out of the head , deshrouded the combustion chamber & the tops of the bores for more air flow . honed the bores & removed the ridges our selves ( this is a real cheap & nasty race motor ) we traded our 350 holley + $150 for a crow cam 541/541 lift 240 /240 dur @ .050 , 108 lobe sep & comp cam lifters ( same as A & b motor lifters ) c/molly retainers & 4 bbl cain manifold . ( very good shopping ) the plan is new rings & bearings , timing chain gaskets ect , arp rod bolts & resize rods linish crank & throw it togeather . hi presure oil pump & home made windage tray . all using stock pistons rods & crank & valves & balancer . feeding it with a 650 dp , 2" carb spacer & ported cain 4bbl inlet manifold & pissing the exhaust gases out through 1 3/4 " headers into a 3" collector & straight through muffler & straight out the side . this should make 330+ hp 6200rpm 6 cylinder for under $1000 au . my m8's a chevy guy but has a soft spot for our little mopar 4.3 lt 6 cylinder motor , it punches way above it's weight . over here there's more 400 hp hemi six's then 400 hp mopar small blocks yep it's all in the head . anyways folks gota go cya .

Talking was at the speedway last night

it seems i was made for speedway racing . the outlaw sedans group is having a civil war , rich vs poor i'm taking the side of the south of course . the riches leader now presedent of the club has been buying votes with tyres & towing & parts ect ect . the expresedent ( the founder of the club ran it for 8 years ) couldn't afford 2 run his car this year because of BS . anyway this sounds even better than just racing . the new presedent has the flashest car out there with full sponsership but can't drive for s#$t HAHAHA no wonder he hates the poor guys . i seen how the poor guys were blocking nudging ect ect theres a few flash turbos 180 sx's out there ( richies ) & the poor boys were blocking them & the turbos would lagg ( sucked in ) & the poor boys would pull away ect ect hahahaha i cant wait . there was a 265 hemi out there came 2nd 3rd & 2nd so that was a big boost for me & my mate . most of em are chevy guys but they were talking highly of the little hemi . but there a weird mob ( these chev guys ) they had all these miths about the 245 being better then the 265 . ( 215 , 245 & 265 have the same deck height same stroke & rod lenth it's just the bore sizes ) they reckon with a chev 327 piston the 245 revs harder & have better heads ????? that would be the same as a 265 + 070 & all the heads are the same apart from 265's have bigger valves . chev guys & there miths , well all i know is the little 265 out there last night was beating all most everybody the cid limit is 366 cid mmm were are giving away alot of cubes there but yeah it's a hemi . not the same as yours over there but still a hemi it says so on the block .

got some more pic's for ya . the cylinder head & some 318 std ports to compare i just got new .060" over pistons & rings on friday they are 9.1:1 std so with some milling we should be able to bump up the compression . then look @ getting some summit c/molly push rods .

i guess the main + for the hemi six port is it a straight shot at the valve with no push rod pinch & the air don't have to change shape as much ether . also being a newer design the castings where much better . very little flash , just gasket match then run all over the port hog out the valve guides , then blend the bowls easy head to port .

it's number 45 btw . 45 acp , 45 colt long , 454 casull , 45-70 , 458 win mag . it's old , heavy & will hit hard & moves at medium velocities . ( 320 - 350 hp )

a few more

the exhausts haven't been done yet they will also be getting k-lines banged in & also I'll angle grind the tops of the valve guides down so no spring retainer issues , we'll have to shorten the umbrella stem seals also ( with sizzors or some thing cheap & nasty )

Help wanted with Speedway Hemi 265 in New Zealand

Hi

We are putting Hemi 265 in Modified frame in New Zealand. Can you help us with cam specs and compression ratio for running methanol. Your help would be much appreciated. Our email is caz_tex@yahoo.co.nz

Thanks Carole and Bruce
