Challenger SRT or SRT8??
A local dealer contacted me about trading their 2012 Challenger SRT8 for my 69 RR, but I'm a little confused cause all I see are SRT logos (no 8)
Is the SRT and SRT8 different models or did they drop the "8" for the recent years and just start calling them SRT's
AFAIK, there were only 3 models (V6, RT and SRT8), but I haven't really kept up with the modern stuff so I wouldn't really know

When SRT branched out to its own brand they stopped calling them srt-8/srt-6/srt-4 and started calling them just SRT. Thats the real deal top of the line car. Should have the 392 (6.4) in it i think.

That is a Yellow Jacket 392 by the looks of it...I would consider the trade they are close to 60k new.. and were limited production.. I'm not sure of the numbers but could easily find out... I almost bought a Furious Fuchsia SRT and bought a Journey instead because it was more practical and when it was all said and done they only made 400 of them... 280 to the USA and 120 to Canada that just blew my mind because the dealer I was at had 2 of them one with white stripes and one with black.. The white was mine and we got cold feet at delivery... Damn I kick myself every time I think about it...Bill

I'm confused now because the seats have the Bee in them but the stripe is missing unless the original owner deleted it... Here is a link to it.. http://www.dodge.com/en/2012/challen...ket/index.html Also I found out through the Chrysler site that 1504 were built and 1325 were for the USA.. They were sold for higher then list price because the dealer were having a hard time getting them... And were scalping the customer on the prices...Bill

I'm not gunna bother with it since it has a slushbox, but I was just curious because the other SRT's that were offered in trade all had the SRT8 logo
If it were $60k new, it has taken quite a hit cause they only want $35k as is with under 13k miles
I can only imagine how much lower it will be next year while my 69 will most likely go up
That being said, it would be easier for me to trade down for a lesser muscle car and

Snake, I love your RR and something is fishy about that Challenger... Very nice car but it has all the Yellow Jacket features wheels, seats, tail stripe, pipes, navigation, Etc. .. but the Decals and side stripes are missing.. Good move on your part the RR is worth more to you and me...Bill

Some of their cars are quite sick

Snake, Thanks that was a good race... In the rematch the Cobra couldn't grab the road and the result was pretty close.. I'm sure the AMG is a heavier car... It was a fun time I'm sure...Thanks again...Bill
