just our of curiosity here
my gf started running cross country for her high school last week, her mom dsnt have a "REAL" job she baby sitts the crips keeper pretty much and collects unemployment, n cant take the cript keeper out of the house easly so she wouldnt take her to her practice at her school with is about a 50 some miles round trip for me, just to drop her off n then go back home. n then i have to drive all the way back to get her about 45 mins later. and since my Polara is my only car its what i have to take her in. the toral trip cost me about 25-30 bucks in gas and she wants me to do this 5 days a week. so i asked her to get her mom to give me some gas money and she would only give me 20 bucks a week... but what ever she wants to do the sport i'll work up the gas money. so i take her to practive today n pretty much play speed racer to her school to get her there on time. luckly i did. or she would of had to miss the first team meet. so i do my 20 some mile hike back home. get home n fart around with the car till about 7:15 then go to get her.... but for some odd reason the state of Delaware has this thing where they like to tear up perfectly good roads and screw up traffic... so any way i get stuck in traccif n just barly make it to her school by 8:00. i get there exspecting to be able to get her n get the hell out of there n not have to fart around. ( my car has no A/C ) and i figured this cuz she specificaly told me she will be done @ 8:00PM witch didnt really happen to me... i got there and she was sitting on the ground stretching with the whole team, so i pull up and honk the horn n wave to her so we can go... but she keeps sitting there with the team so i wait a few mins n by then just sitting in my car is like sitting in an oven so i drive off n cruise around the lot for a bit n finaly go park n a min or to later she comes up to the car. and this is exactly what i said to her " hey, how was practice ?" " thats good, this whole not being ready @ 8:00 thing isnt gonna be an everyday thing is it ?" then she gets her knickers in a twist n hopes in the car and pretty much yells 2 me like my mom would when i screw up....
now did i do anything wrong in this delema ? or what i'm mildly confuzld here any thoughts on this ?

i'd find something to do there instead of making the trip twice. maybe you'll meet someone that appreciates the time and expence of driving her. i hope she's veeeeeeeery pretty, lol.

You drive out there and then come back then do it again in 45 minutes? I'd stay out there and tinker on the car there. OR park the car in the shade, bring some mopar books and read up. That is a hike to do 10 times a week. Save yourself some money and just stay there.

I'd throw in my perspective here....run the hell away from that cr@p. You are being taken EXTREME ADVANTAGE OF, and the expectations are unrealistic and selfish. If MY son was assked to do this same thing (he's 18), I'd say oh hell no you aren't.
Just my thoughts. You deserve to be treated with respect and not to have your butt chewed by them. Run away.

Ah, Its alright. I remember going through that sh%t. You're young, you gotta go through that crap. I remember throwing all my clothes off of the second floor balcony into the trunk of my 67 Belvedere II and then coming back and doing the same thing 2 days later at the apartment me and a "gal" were renting. I was 21. It's hard to figure out. I agree with Morrigan though because a female has more correct judging abilities when it comes to other females.
Hey, cant mom cough up some dough to get a beater 4cyl. to let you drive her? {i guess not}
All in all , I guess you gotta find a gf that wont use so much gas.

My son is always "threatening" to give me what he calls a "uterus punch"...I remind him that I don't want anymore kids anyway...not even the two I have! Seems to take the fun out of his threats.
But really, Polara, run the hell away. This is the beginning of a controlling, unhappy relationship and you'll be stuck between mom and daughter and not in a potentially fun way.

To all you men out there with an old car: if she HATES it, dump her! There are plenty of gals out there with an appreciation for old cars (may not be brand specific), but an appreciation nonetheless. If she likes old cars, she'll understand that there are two women in your life and she'll have to play nice. My Ford guy knows this! I work on my bitches off and on and he digs that and leaves me alone. When I've spent all my extra money on car parts, he understands. You all need a woman who understands that too.
Even if the gal doesn't know alot about cars, even if she just thinks its pretty, or fast or fun or just cool....then she's worth your consideration. I won't EVER date anyone who isn't into cars again. EVER.
Find yourself a chick at a car show, in an auto shop class, welding class, the drag races, roundy-pounder races or whereever. Hell, check out the chicks at the auto parts store. For godsakes, they're out there.

morrigan, i dont think that would be suck a swell idea.... probly only make things worse over here, u'll all see a minni nuke cloud apear over Delaware lol =l
but then again i dunno i hvnt really said much to here since she called me around noonish probly and said she was sorry about getting mad.... but she still dsnt like my car..... n i'm not getting anymore gas money so i dunno =/
