Motorcycles anyone?
So today I was doing some work on the Valiant and I had to head to work for a little bit. My dad said "why don't you take my bike. Just take the back roads and be careful." I figured why not, it'll save me some gas. Well about 5 minutes into the ride to work, I got bit. I WANT A MOTORCYCLE AGAIN!
Who has what for a bike? I'm looking at a Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 since they have come down a lot in price in my area. Just won't be able to do anything til next year (got to get my truck paid off first).

1 project at a time .
when i worked at the bike place i almost bought a brand new 2005 883 sportster hugger . the lowest seat height one they had , I'm sure it was a custom . black of course . my work at the time were the biggest distributor of heaps of bike shizen . i had a set of super trap full exhaust system , wiseco 10.5:1 , 1200 pistons & rings , Andrew's cams , thunder slide carbon fiber carby slide kit . Dyna ignition , screaming eagle air cleaner , 1340 size valves but thinner shaft ect ect . oh & 1 1/2 inch lowered progressive rear shocks . well i test road a 1200 & 883 & ordered one . well that night i went to a mates house to celebrate & he was also gonna air brush the bike . i left his place blind rotten drunk stoned as 4:30am in the morning i went strapping my car up & down these country roads thinking I'm a hero race car driver until i hit a power pole ( you know the one's scotty ) and spilt the pole & tore my car in half . my seat belt ripped out of the floor that saved my head from being chopped off . i did the runner of course . anyway i was expecting a $10000 bill for the power pole so i never got the bike & my work gave me my money back on all the parts i got off em . so that was that . bikes are so fun but so easy to come unstuck for good . I'm planning on being around as long as i can 1212 hahaha . doomsday

I'm seeing 5-10 yr old sporties for sale here from 3000-5000 all day. Most folks who buy a sportie end up trading for bigger. I like my FX softail, its like a Dyna Wide Glide. More chopper looking. Dont care for the big geezer glides. My softie was 16000 new in 97. Yeah they stick it to ya there on the price. Got a cam, vance and hines pipes and a mikuni carb on it[ god I wish mikuni made 4 barrels, set and forget, love 'em] along with all the requisit shiney bits. Also converted the 5spd tranny to a kicker. Real men kick a bike. Most folks run some kind of baffled pipe, but not like the pipes your required down there. Just like a drag pipe with a small baffle, seems to keep the coppers here happy. Most of us just want a little bark.

if i were to own another bike it would have to be a 2 stroke old or custom . so much fun smoke & noise & hell cheap . you can get 500cc big blocks for rz / banshee . way to fast for the bike . or me for that matter . cubes & big pipes = dead

me to . but Harley's cost way too much over here . & they don't go down in value ether parts ect big $$$ . i hate jap **** more than anyone but i put 2 strokes in there own class . there more basic & simple then anything else . mine had / has trail bike hangers on it so ya sit up right , it had 51 lbs of torque at the wheels it was straight off the throttle . mate there's no way you could ride it & not want to ride it again . in line twin it fires every stroke , in a 290lbs bike that's wicked fun .

BEING PREPARED IS NOT PARANOID! Ok, maybe I'm a bit nuts knowing I have enough wood to board the windows against zombies, but I can still function in society!
