we call em thongs over hear kiwis call em jandells & poms call em flip flops . well ya not a Aussie if ya don't where thongs cyas . you will see in one of the photos my mates using them as safety boots .

Older guys call them thongs in Alberta Canada but the trend is toward flip flops now-guess that confusion over vastly different articles of clothing tipped the scales in favor of a new name...

 

well we call bikini's togs , swimmers or g bangers . or something in the way . so thongs are things ya where on ya feet . we also call thongs Japanese flying boots , or double pluggers .

have you seen romper stomper ? it's a top flick . i haven't seen it in years though . but i do have the sound track that I've had for 16 years . when we were young teenage skinheads that CD was played at many a Rochedale party & we'd also play/sing i was only 19 ( red gum Vietnam tribute ) that would stir the blood & get us in a war frenzy . any Tongan/Samoan/Maoris would be on there best behavior .
