Pretty sure i have failing lifters... after some youtube searching and other stuff. Ive stumbled onto a potential "hemi tick" fix. Cause nothing on the internet is fake. So my question is... is it safe and possible to swap the stock 5.7 cam and lifters with a 6.2 cam and lifter set from a 392 motor? Im mechanically inclined but specs wise im clueless. So some help would be appreciated. Cause i need to do this soon.

I thought I had the hemi tick. I would have bet it was lifter problems. It turned out to be broken exhaust manifold studs.

 

Quick go buy a fist full of lottery tickets!!!

 

Yes it had a tick that sounded just like a lifter and it would go away as soon as it warmed up. Didn't know it was a common problem with the hemi. Found out they make a kit with a template to help drill the broken studs out.

 

I was considering that and plan on replacing the header bolts first see if it fixes it.
