1968 sport fury convertible

picked up a 1968 sport fury convertible 383 4bbl 727 posi. Was sitting in girlfriends uncles back yard for 7 years. Took it home after ten minutes of changing oil checking hoses unhooked fuel line pumped old gas out put in new gas it fired right up. my question is how rare is this car & how fast. My ram truck runs 1620s 1/4mile we lined my truck for fun (we live in the country no traffic) not even close by second gear the fury had the truck by 3 cars. will post pictures when i learn how to.

Welcome to the forum!
A Fury is heavy so, from a dead stop, it may be a bit sluggish but, from a rolling start... 15/20 mph, in low gear... that 383 with a 4bbl should come on pretty good!

Ask Silverick said, it is somewhat heavy. Is the motor all stock?

First welcome,
It's rare enough, they ain't makin' no more. Myself I wouldn't go nuts with it as convertables need extra stiffening compared to lighter coupes, of the same make and model. Also convertables demand more money just for the drop top. 68 and 65 Furys seem to be very plentifull in comparison to other years and models, these days. I have no numbers for ya. Still a nice find. Origanal will always bring more money. If you have no intention of selling it, then do what you want. It's not hard to modify and still be able to return to stock.
