1988 dodge d100 3.9 L V6

I recently brought a 88 d100. 56k miles, a work truck taken off the road back in the day because they had too many trucks. Asking for advice on what budget mods to do to the truck first. Should I keep it original and restore it? Or is it better value updating it.

Everything in great condition except the carpet

Original manuals

Original inspection

Welcome.

I don’t understand the value comment, are you looking to make money on a resale? I would clean it up, maintain it and have a reliable fuel efficient driver.

The 3.9 isn't thrifty on gas, I had a new 89 Dakota and the best it would average was 16 mpg.

Any chance you could post a pic of the relays on the driver side inner fender?? I too have an '88 V6 shortbox but mine requires some assembly.
