Good morning,
New to this forum stuff, hoping you fellas/gals might be able to help out a bit on some issues that you may have come across.
bought a 2021 scat that was wrecked and put a 68 dart body onto the 21 suspension/drivetrain etc. The 21 ran when before we disassembled and did our modifications. This out fit has been disassembled for about a year, anyways, we have got it back together to include the wiring harness, fuel, battery etc.
Now, all it will do is power up and says on the original dash panel, push clutch in to start vehicle... when doing that, nothing happens and it shuts off. What im wondering is, will the computer need to be re-programmed, or possibly the key fob as well might need to be re-programmed.
We have checked all continuity, grounds etc and that is all good to go.
give me your thoughts.

I remember reading somewhere that there can be a problem with the computer security's systems, maybe it’s tripped by the door locks or somehow but it needs to be tricked into thinking everything is normal.
Are the power door locks wired in?

 

If the starter circuit, all looks and is wired good? I agree on having a look at the security side.
Scan it for codes and see what comes up.
But i wouldn't go into reprogramming before knowing you need to for sure.
My guess is.. Its all talking, if the dash lights up... The fob is talking to the Proximity ring, and the Proximity ring is talking to the PCM, and then that is talking to the cluster because its giving out a message for you to start. Not sure reprogramming is need rite at this moment... ????

so we hooked the the doors to the wiring harnesses off the 21 scat, closed the latches and ground the fuel pump and it fired off.
I took a video and i will try and post it on here.
