71 "Cuda 440-6pk - Anti sway- need Help....

Anything that I can do to stop my 71 "Cuda from swaying side to side in the pavement during rain & hard stops? Or do I just have to live with it?
I have the following size tires & they're old:
235/60/15 Front
255/60/15 Rear
I was thinking about going with 245/60/15's all around, good idea? If yes which is the best brand for this car?
Any assist will be greatly appreciated.
Henry

You could install either a self-adjustable shock (like edlebrock's IAS) or an adjustable that you have controll of (like Rancho's RS9000 air shocks) or even just install a firmer/newer pair.

Installing/upgrading a front and rear sway bar will help out as well.

Another item(s) you should look at is your suspension as a whole. How old are the bushings, leafs, shocks, torsion bars, etc.. These cars were not designed to be cornering machines like some vehicles today but there are plenty of aftermarket items that you can go with.

Crappy tires and shocks are probably the culprit...if your were skidding on hard stops I would say your brakes...drums are not adjusted properly

i agree with bremereic, about the brakes being misadjusted or faulty proportioning valve, wheel cylinder?
