1st timer, i have a 1970 Cuda, 440, 4 speed car. I purchased last summer. the engine is not original. the # on the block is3698830.440, I would like help finding out what this engine came out of, also on the top of the motor it is stamped HP, the block is stamped 2.21.74 any info would be great

stamped 2.21.74 OR casting no 2.21.74. at one time i thought that the castings sat out side to season be for machining. . but i have been told that is not so. but a very old chrysler parts man told me that the casting no was good only before machining.

thanks for responce, just trying to figure out what i have. I have read that a 74-440 should have a cast crank and exterior wieghts on the fly wheel, mine has none
