Going back to the US

Hey guys, new to the forum here. I am currently living in brazil but should relocate back to the US in April. I have a 70 Dodge Superbee clone there that has been a work in progress for many years. Hopefully now I can back to it soon.

Welcome to the forum and back to the US! I have a 67 GTX clone...us clone guys have to stick together! You username says TX in it, are you from TX? I spent 13 years in San Angelo, TX, one year in San Antonio, and I even spen a week in Sao Paulo Brazil. My only Portugese is "obrigado".

Im from the Houston area which is where our cars are. Even though we have been here for 2 years, my vocabulary only consists of about 20 words. I make it a point to learn one a month.

I have always been told it is better to set small reachable goals instead of grand goals you could never reach. I see you are from the same school of thought with your Portugese There was a guy named Mike Purkeson in the neighborhood I grew up in that owned a Super Bee (69 I think) and he terrorized the entire place with that Bee. The parents hated him and worried that he was going to kill someone, but the kids thought he was cool and loved the car! I got a ride in that car and it was my first experience of being pinned back in the seat due to hard acceleration.....what a frickin rush that was along with the throaty roar of the exhaust. From that day on, I have been a Super Bee fan!

Thanks for the welcome. I dont have any pics here. Actually I do but they are on a computer with a bad power supply. My dad bought a new 69 superbee when he was younger but I came along soon after so he traded it in on a station wagon. I'm still trying to earn enough money to find one and pay him back. I still feel a little responsible. I bought the 70 clone right after I got out of the Marines. I wasn't a very smart shopper. I had a few thousand bucks and saw an ad in the paper and 20 min later I was the new proud owner. Dad's 69 wil have to wait.
