Greetings- Newbie needs info...

Hello all!

I'm just joining at a weird time- coming to an end of the 8 year restoration of my 68 Plymouth Fury III convertible. It's painted Chrysler Cool Vanilla (closest to the factory monotone beige, but modern color). with factory metallic red interior and special order red and stainless body trim. SHould have joined much earlier, but had a few questions and wondered if any could help out:

I just ordered a facory air cleaner decal for my 318 engine. Where on the air cleaner body does this go? I just want to make sure it's correct and I haven't found any photos to show me.

I have attempted a couple of times to replicate the metallic red dye for my door panels by mixing red with maroon and dusting with metallic, but it is not perfect. i want to avoid the exhobitant costs associated with sending them off to Just Dashes and having them redyed. Any thoughts on where I can get the right color?

Also, I really want to look into the history of this car- at one point someone installed a PA system which looks to be very vintage, but very interested in contacting past owners and finding possible stories and/or photographs of the car. I actually spoke to several of the Chrysler executives at a dealership opening in Miami where my car was being featured in the showroom and they said they would help, but that was over a year ago and I'm sure they're more concerned with their jobs. What are some resources I could use?

Here's a pic at of the grand opening last July.

Thanks!
