Hello from Fla
I just became a member and it sounds like there's a lot of good mopar people out there. I recently bought a 1968 roadrunner with a 440. It's one beautiful car but has some bugs in her such as pinging and running a little too hot. With a little bit of patience and help from friends I think we'll get it.

Welcome!

Sounds like the timing may be off a little, it may be running too lean, your not running it on a high enough octane. Just to name a few issues (in that order too).

Welcome to the boards. Does your car have a fan shroud? My charger ran hot when it was missing its shroud.
