Hello! New guy here from Canada

Howdy Folks!

I own a 1968 Dodge Polara 500 that I bought in 2008, actually for my wife (but since I love old cars, me too!). This purchase came about when I started collecting 1:18 scale die-cast car/truck/motorcycle models, and I asked my wife if there's a special car for her that she might want a model of. She immediately said, a 1968 Dodge Polara 500, 4 door, blue because it was the last car her Dad owned before he passed-away in 1968. So, I tried to find a model, but none of that plain Mopar are made. During my internet search, I came across a real one for sale in a garage in Calgary, AB. Exact duplicate, colour inside and out, 318ci 2bbl engine, etc. (I knew her Dad wouldn't have bought a bigger engine). So, unknown to my wife, I bought it and had it shipped back east. As it turned-out, yes, it was one of those 'picker' finds. She has run great since, now on our third summer (although a fuel delivery problem has arisen that I'm about to post about in the engine section).

I created a web page at CarDomain.com, so if you'd like to more about the car, check it out here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3215842/1968-dodge-polara. The pics are from when I first bought the car. I hope to update it soon. She doesn't need much of anything, but new whitewall tires and a good waxing really dressed her up nicely. I'm no mechanic, but I can somewhat find my way around an old motor. New engines, forget it!
