You can send them to me if you want or load them onto photobucket.com. Its free and a good way to save them. Once you load the pics, you copy and paste the "img code" in the "reply to thread" box and hit "submit Replay".

Nice car btw.

Hi, challenger.

You might be able to help me with my wheel fitment problem.

I am thinking of getting some foose 18 x 8 rims for my cuda, but finding
the right offset/ backspace etc is a real nightmare, our cars are the same fitment.

Dont want to order the wrong fitment, especially when they are coming from the usa to the uk !

I know the bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 and thread is 1/2"

cheers, neil.

( i emailed foose wheels about it +got no reply)

Hey Cudaneil you can take a straight edge and put on the rear drum face and measure to the leaf spring and subtract about an half inch and that will get your back spacing for your rear and should work on the front also but the front is a little more complex since it has more to hit cause of turning but if you dont feel safe on getting the same ones for the front you can get a tool thats called a WHEELWRIGHT and it will get you that perfect fit rim that you are looking for ok but if you want to wait about three days or so, ill be happy to measure mine as i take them off every winter and put them under blankets and in the top of the shop ..... let me know ok

Thumbs up wheel fitments for 70/74 cuda/challenger

Hi challenger.
thanks for the helpful info. I also remove my wheels for the winter months.

I have noticed a lot of people have trouble finding that perfect fit when buying new wheels and tyres,so i think it would help everyone if
we got some measurements and posted them !

Maybe start a new thread about it !!!

Many thanks, will speak to you again. Cudaneil.

Ok cool, I'd appreciate it as I'd like to figure out the proper spacing for my car.

Thanks cudaneil , i new it was something like that are you going to purchase it or do it the old fashin way with a straight edge and tape , or you could use your rims it has on it now to give you an idea of what it is

I am going to look at it, and then see if my friend has one in his shop, and then maybe use the tape method, which sounds fairly straight forward.

I ordered a set of 10" rims from stockton last year, for a freinds a-12. he wanted to go 10" w/ a stock rear sus. and dana 60. they had the dim. on a chart already for me to order from. i told them the tire size i wanted to run and they fixed me right up. I would think that foose would have the same chart or dim. facts, so a guy can just do it in 1 call. just a syggestion, all they can tell you is they dont have anything like that. dont forget to take into consideration since your going that tall, that the inside dim. of the wheel house may give you fits. from i.d. to i.d. where the top of the tire will fit in the wheel well. I.E. you wont be able to get the tire up into the wheel well when you go to put it on. I had a set of 50`s on 10" wheels ounce on my cuda, I had to jack the body up after i jacked the rear up to clear the wheelwell. then when i got on it, the tire expanded and rubbed against the insides of the quarters. I had to go to a real low profile after that.

hi, as i say foose wheels didnt reply to me. but the tyre people recommend 35 section tyres with 18" rims. I have already had my front rally rims off and measured the backspace, its 4 1/2 inches.
