Hi everybody !

Looks like a great forum! I'm in the process of building a street/strip 440 for my 78 Cordoba, so I'll be asking a LOT of Big-Block questions!

Welcome! What do you plan on doing with the car and 440? Race? Just for fun?

78D200, Mostly street, with an occasional trip to the drags,The car is a total tank (3966 lbs.) and wouldn't make a good race car,so what I'm shooting for is devastating acceleration from a 35 mph roll.

Are you really set on the 440? Maybe think about a puched out 400, with aluminum heads.

The car is a bit heavy but you can compensate for some of that with a little work. Items like a fuel cell instead of a fuel tank, electric fuel pumps and fuel injection.
