The car was all but done in the spring of 2017. All it needed was an air cleaner, wheels & tires. Dad & I got on to another one of his projects & the GTX just sat. Dad passed away in October 2017. I then finished the GTX & his other project. A 62 dodge polara 500 max wedge clone. Sadly I had to sell all of dads cars. The GTX I will not. The only major thing I want to do to the GTX is all new console. Its in ruff shape

The 68 GTX road & drove like a dream. Every thing worked so smooth. Dad built that car back when you could go to the local Chrysler dealership & get parts. The 68 GTX had its original sheet metal, H pipe, rear, trany, all of the dash the only thing not original to the car was the engine block, seat covers & wheels

The first mopar I ever considered buying was a green 68 or 9 RR with a 383 and 4 speed. The only thing that I didn't like was the clutch, that thing had the stiffest pedal I've ever seen. But the car was clean with black interior. This was in the fall of 75 or spring of 76, with 60k on the clock the Plymouth dealer wanted $999.00 for it.

I forgot it had red strip tires and road wheels. I didn't like the tires back then but I do now? Tires didn't last very long back then, a few months maybe.
