Hi from Tn.
Hi from Tn.
Hey all. My name is Matt from Knoxville, Tn. I am currently(somewhat currently, that is) building a carb'd '92 Dakota 2wd ext cab.
It was owned since new by my mother, and after my first deployment to Iraq in 2004, I was able to get it from her with 150,000 miles on the magnum 318 for 900 bucks.
She ran great with the MP computer, modified throttle body, Gibson headers and full custom side exit exhaust. Also found a 9.25 factory limited slip and 3.92 gears (stock 8.25 w/3.55) from a 98 Durango with the spring perches and shock mounts already relocated. However, I for some reason wanted a carb'd 360 instead and had one built by Matt Maund of Maund Motorworks. Bored .030 over, 9.8:1 compression, comp cams 264 HR12 roller, 2.02, 1.60 valves, edelbrock performer intake, holley 650 dp manual choke, etc,.
She is still a work in progress though. I am on my 3rd "vacation" but hope to get it all buttoned up when I get home. Just a few little things to finish up like the serpentine setup on an LA engine, fittings and hoses for the water pump, throttle valve linkage, and setting up the 46rh to run OD without the computer.
Anyway, I look forward to talking to and gleaning any info from everyone here!
