howdy!
well, my girlfriend just bought a '69 Roadrunner that were going to be fixing up together. So, I figured I'd join this forum
I've always loved muscle cars and hot rods. I've always found mopars to be some of the most fascinating with their crazy performance engines, great styling and the high impact colors.. I've been working in my father's restoration shop for the past couple of years. My first car was a '65 mustang fastback, I traded that for the hot rod I'm now in the process of building. It's a '37 ford pickup.
As for my girlfriend I guess it really all started many years ago when her mother owned a '70 Roadrunner. I guess the mopar loving thing is hereditary! Just recently she went to a car show for a few days with my family. When we got back she started searching the classifieds for something like her favorite car at the show (a '68 Roadrunner) and she hit the jackpot when she found the '69 she ended up buying.

Mopar Lover
Congratulations to you and your girl and welcome to the forum!
I am also fairly new here, was looking for a Roadrunner, Belvedere, Coronet, etc. and ended up with a Fury III! I wasn't so sure at first about having a Fury but, we now have a relationship. The social factor with this car has been great and I'm sure that with that Roadrunner.... you'll find the same!
Lots of good people here!

Nope, no roll bar. I was told the car was raced at one point though. It's got a hole cut in the floor from where it's had a standard in it at one point. It still has the original column shift in it and is back to being an automatic. There is till a clutch pedal on the floor too.. I was told by the guy we bought it off that he bought it from a young girl who built the engine in it and raced it occasionaly. She was in the military and had to sell it when she was deployed. So atleast the cars used to a woman driver.. ha ha..
