It's Columbos fault!

I'm new to the forum. It started since I've been watching Columbo episodes on Netflix, all the 70s cars. Then finally I saw Season 5 episode 1 and that's when I saw a clean Newport.. I started looking online ran across this forum and found the Cordoba.

I really like the car. I haven't bought one yet or even began to look.
I have a few questions. Mostly about power, what engines fit in that car, what has to be changed to get the engine up to 300hp range. I'm not looking for a Hot Rod. But I don't want a slouch either.
I'm sure there's great info here and I can't wait to find it.

Thx in advance and cool forum

Cool

Welcome! Normally Cordobas come with 318ci, 360ci or 400ci. Depending on the year, 400's were not available in 1979's. 300hp will not be hard to achieve in any of the engines!
