Talking Joesam

Hey , Yall, Could I beg? For some help on a Car I only know of, A friend is having fuel problems- 67 Fury Convertible/383cid- I have told him to pull the tank as best solution, but He wonders if_ Here is the question- Does the tank on His ride have a top plate that can be accessed and removed to view the innards? Or am I right , the tank needs to come down to clean the 41 year old oxidation scaling.
Pretty sure I'm right- But he is not listening-Thanks , Yeah I'm old and uneducated so my jibe typing may not be very Grammar correct. Thanks
