A little advice

I am looking to put a bigger camshaft in my 5.9 magnum, also maybe switching to a carburetor instead of fuel injectors. If I switch to a carburetor I might need to reprogram my PCM or keep the fuel injectors. Also kind of new to cars if that helps a little bit. Open to any ideas, comments, questions, concerns, etc.

Vehicle is a 97 red Dodge Ram 1500, 4x2 with a 5.9 magnum from a 5.2. Just would like some advice or anything that can help with that truck, cause the way that 5.9 runs now it just runs like a dog
