Mom just gave me her 1966 Dart 270 Convertible... :P

Hi there Im new here. Im Syed from Malaysia

This is mom's 1st car, she bought new in 1966 and has been with the family ever since. The car has not been on the road for the last 10 years but is garaged (as you can see shes in pristine condition for an unrestored 1966 car...)

I plan to restore this baby and upgrade a few things to modern day standards (such as disk brakes etc.) and I would be glad if you could point me to the right direction as to where to look for parts etc. (other than Ebay).

Cheers for any help.

Feel free to comment on the pictures below:

Note: Right hand drive! :P

I know each to their own as far as paint colors are concern, but...

What colour shall i paint her? For now, she will either be Red with cream leather and white top, or white with red leather and red top

What do you think? Opinions... opinions...

Cheers

im curious how is the condition of the interior as far as the seats, door panels id keep the original interior if all it needed was some cleaning and conditioning

When the batt died a few years ago, we left the car with the hood down and the cats just love to scratch on the seats...

when we realized it was too late, seats had holes everywhere on the back rest especially the back seat...

So I have no choice but to re-upholster the seats... now if I can decide on a color...

well if you really want to work to keep your white top and cream interior clean id go with those .they tend to look dirty quicker especially being a convert but most convertibles i have seen either have white or black interior either way you go im sure it will look good

Looks good

In my opinion, if you had mix matched car parts, I would do what ever colors you wanted. Since it looks like the car is all original, I would keep the original car colors. Hard to find original cars these days and it would add to the long term value.

Have you decoded the fender tag? Is that the original paint and interior colors? I would get some poverty caps. That would look very cool.

The car is currently at my hometown about 150 miles up north from where im staying. Will be there over the weekend and will take more detailed pictures and get her started (if i can...)

If I get a detailed picture of the fender codes, would you guys be able to help me get more information on the car?

Cheers

Syed
