Hey-
I am excited I found this site. I just bought a 76 Cordoba, 400 4bl hi performance. All original (except ignition coil), only 45,000 miles.
Live in PA but grew up in NH where I learned to drive on a 72 Plymouth custom suburban wagon and dodge stepside.
Since I have 3 kids we have owned three Chrysler town and country's. Not sexy, but they are great for hauling the family.
I look forward to learning about the classics and keeping the doba happy and running smooth.

Beauty car, I was with 5 minutes of a '78 Cordoba being my first car back in '82, we got to the guys house just as another person was buying it. Same color as yours too, it had a 360. I'm a "don't fix it if it ain't broke" kinda guy, if it runs good then I'd leave it alone until it started giving me trouble. Lean Burn wasn't Chryslers best idea by any means but hey why spend money on it if you don't have to?

I just got the plate and registration today. Once I've had a chance to get it out on the road and see how she performs, I will decide on what to do.

If I were to install a Mopar Electronic Ignition kit to replace the lean burn, would that require me to replace the existing carburetor with a new one?
In both cases, I am told these are fairly easy installs, correct?
I am new to this classic car stuff, but would like to do as much of the maintenance as possible. I have no problem with the oil changes, filters, belts and the like, but once we get beyond that my comfort level takes a dive.
Thanks
