New to Mopar Forum

Im new to Mopar Forum and thought Id get some info out to you die hards. I have a 72 Plymouth Duster with the 225 slant 6. I bought the car in 1998 from the original owner with 58,000 miles. Th car is all stock except the Cragar S/Ss I bought in 2000. I had to rebuild the engine twice, first time I spun a connecting rod bearing, I only had the money to fix the problem. Second time I had to redo the top end cause of failing rings. (I rebuilt the entire motor from ground up this time) Now she got 114,00 and still runs great! My trans is starting to act up. (Got a thread out asking for trans info) Im also currently making a custom exhaust manifold (my stock one is cracked in 2 places) and a custom intake manifold to use 3 Harley Davidson constant velocity carbs. (Im a Harley Davidson technician) I want to add some power to the 225. The car has some small issues, but my biggest problem is finding performance parts for my 225. Im looking for a cam, my rocker arms are getting sloppy, and Id like to find an electronic distributor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome!

If you want to know how to build up that Slant 6, talk to johnthegoalie on here. He has hopped up his some and it has posted up some very respectable numbers.

they shut down most of their slant six parts production, but mopar performance had quite a bit of items - clifford performance has some cool parts also.
as far as electronic distributor - a stock electronic distributor from checker paired with the mopar performance orange box aftermarket coil and a wiring harness either from a junkyard or mp is the way to go.
