I am new to this forum and I am interested in purchasing this car that is for sale on craiglist. Any thoughts about what I should be considering when looking at this car from experts here would be really helpfull in my own decision making process! Here's the link:

that's not real far from me (central KS).
I've always liked the miradas,
Looks like the rear needs work, t tops probably leak, buckets need reupholstered, don't think that paint can be brought back (?) but mileage isn't to bad for a 318, (makes me wonder why its so low???)
it looks pretty original though!
Check the engine over well,
oil- color, level, smell, look for gunked up areas indicating leaks.
Rad fluid- color, level, smell, look for drips and wet spots around heads.
Trans fluid- color, level, smell.
Brake fluid and PS fluid- colors, levels, smells, leaks.
How clean is the engine bay; is it dusty, dirty? Check air filter, etc etc. (indicating routine maintenance if its clean)
Test drive it and let it idle for a while and see if it runs well and temp, pressure, etc are in the green.
Given the work needed,
$1700 seems like to much to me (?)
but I'm not up to date on what miradas are going for $ currently (?)
