New Member- 1955 Dodge Pickup

Hi All,
New member to the forum. I picked this forum due to the truck sections.

I have had this truck for over 20 years and it has had many engines and suspension changes. This final configuration is a built 6.1L hemi w/ FAST efi, '69 hemi 4-sped, 2010 Challenger IRS, front suspension made from RMS Altercation parts and SRT8 brakes.

It is on the road now and I drive it once or twice a week. Still need to do carpet and headliner along with getting the paint touched up.
Thanks,
John Hopper

Welcome.

I'll bet that is hard to keep in a straight line when you hit the gas.

Welcome to the forums. Very nice ride. Glad you stayed with MOPAR power. I have been shopping around for a Plymouth street rod. Many of them are powered by a non-mopar engine.

I am using a set of headers from Ebay.
"Maximizer Header Manifold For 2012 2013 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 6.4L SRT8" Not my first choice, but the only ones that fit in the narrow chassis without going to custom headers. This still required me to fab a bellcrank setup for the clutch linkage.
The rest of the exhaust is a modified 3" TTI challenger setup I got from a friend because he was having issues getting it to pass smog due to the downstream O2 sensors throwing codes.

I bought my first Mopar 40 years ago and other than one Pinto and one Vega they are all I have owned. They early street rods are often small block chevy and that is so frustrating. It depends on when they were built because 20 years ago it was considerably cheaper to use a chevy drivetrain. Not the case anymore.

I am ashamed to admit that there is a chevy part on my truck....... the headlight switch.
